From the South

I-95 (Maine Turnpike) North to Augusta to Exit 113, Rt.3 BELFAST.

Stay on Rt.3 for 44 miles.  As you come into Belfast, you will pass EBS Building Supplies on your right, then Reny's Plaza on your left. In front of you, you will see a bridge over the road that is Rt.1.  Immediately beyond the bridge, turn left onto Rt.1 North.

It is 6 miles from Belfast to Searsport.  As you come into Searsport, you will see Bangor Savings Bank on your right followed by a block of shops.  At the end of the shops on the right hand side you will see a big white sign for the United Methodist Church.  The church is on one corner of Elm Street and the Masonic Hall (complete with cannon and cannon balls) is on the other corner.  Turn right on Elm Street and Elm Cottage is the second house on the right.  Park on the gravel area in front of the fence.

From the North (Bangor)

Rt. 1A South for about 25 miles through Hampden, Winterport, Frankfort, and Prospect.  Be aware that 1A also goes South to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor - it can be confusing.

Rt. 1A flows into Rt.1 at Stockton Springs.  Continue on Rt.1 South for about 6 miles to Searsport.

As you come into Searsport you will pass some very large and beautiful old sea captain's houses, then look for Searsport Full Gospel Church on your left.  Elm Street is just a little way beyond this on the left hand side. As you come around a bend, look on your left for a big white sign for the United Methodist Church.  The church is on one corner of Elm Street and the Masonic Hall (complete with cannon and cannon balls) is on the other corner.  Turn left on Elm Street and Elm Cottage is the second house on the right.  Park on the gravel area in front of the fence.
